As the Annual Santa Slices Project 2025 comes to a close, we extend our sincere gratitude to the many individuals, organizations, and community leaders who supported this initiative and helped make it a meaningful success.
We would like to especially acknowledge Former Mayor John Gerretsen, Former Mayor Gary Bennett, and Shauna Cunningham, former CKWS news anchor, for their invaluable support in helping secure donations for organizations such as the Integrated Care Hub and local youth shelters. Their involvement reflects the strong community spirit that continues to define Kingston.
Over the course of this 31-day campaign, the Santa Slices Project successfully distributed 7,500 hot pizza slices to individuals and families in need across Kingston. Of these, 6,000 slices were generously donated by community supporters, highlighting the incredible generosity within our community.
Throughout the campaign, fresh pizza was delivered to a wide range of organizations and programs, including:
-
Feed the People Program (Belle Park)
-
St. Vincent de Paul Society of Kingston
-
Martha’s Table
-
Lunch by George
-

-

-

-

-

-

-

-

-
Local youth shelters and additional community programs across Kingston
Thanks to the dedication of our donors, volunteers, and partners, we were able to exceed our original goal of 6,000 slices by 1,500 slices. This achievement demonstrates what is possible when a community comes together with compassion and purpose.
More than just a food initiative, the Santa Slices Project represents connection, care, and community support, ensuring that individuals facing hardship during the winter season feel supported and valued.
We extend a sincere thank you to Jimmy Hassan and Pizza Pizza for making this initiative possible and for their continued commitment to giving back to the Kingston community.
Looking Ahead
As we reflect on this year’s success, we remain committed to continuing and growing the Santa Slices Project in the years ahead. With continued community support, we look forward to reaching even more individuals and strengthening the spirit of giving across Kingston.
